What is the Announcements Widget?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Announcement Widget\u00a0<\/strong>is designed to display posts for certain user Roles on their Dashboard after they log in.\u00a0These posts could be welcome messages, reminders, links to external web pages, or pretty much anything you can think of. You can even display a unique Announcement for each Client!<\/p>\n

How do I create an Announcement?<\/strong><\/p>\n

To get started, navigate to Content > Announcements.<\/p>\n

From there, you will click on “+ Announcements” to create a new Announcement. A Sidebar will open with all of the available\u00a0options.<\/p>\n

Title:\u00a0<\/strong>This is the header of the Announcement, which will appear at the top of the entry.<\/p>\n

Announcement:\u00a0<\/strong>The body of the Announcement goes here. Similar to creating Pages, you can use the Editor to create content, either visually or via HTML.\u00a0Generally speaking, any content you could place\/build inside a standard HTML webpage can be placed\/built inside an Announcement.<\/p>\n

Make a sticky announcement:<\/strong>\u00a0Checking this box will “pin” the Announcement, which will keep it at the top of the Announcement Widget list. By default, Announcements are arranged by date with the newest at the top. If you have multiple Announcements stickied, you can arrange them using the arrows that appear when you hover over the particular Announcement.<\/p>\n

Access:<\/strong>\u00a0Announcements are permissioned on a per-Role basis. If you assign an Announcement to Roles, Circles, Teams, and Individual<\/p>\n

Once the Announcement is posted, it will immediately be visible to the selected Role(s).<\/p>\n

Just as any other Widget, you can control which users are able to see the Announcement Widget in the first place.<\/p>\n

EMBED A VIDEO<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

You can easily embed a video into the Announcement Widget by using the Source button in the WYSIWYG editor. Websites such as Youtube and Vimeo offer the embed code for their videos, which you can copy and paste into the body of the Announcement.<\/p>\n
