What is Google Meet?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Google Meet<\/strong>\u00a0is a video conferencing service from Google.\u00a0primarily designed as a way to host video meetings. However, you can enable the camera and microphone independently, so you can just use it for audio calls if you wish.\u00a0\u00a0It’s a great solution for both individuals and businesses to meet on audio and video calls.<\/p>\n

You can set up a\u00a0Google Meet integration<\/strong>\u00a0that allows you to automatically create a Google Meet meeting along with a booked appointment.<\/p>\n

You’ll need to create a Google account in order to utilize the integration, but an account is not required for the Contact.<\/p>\n

What is My Portal App?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My Portal App is the name of our Integrations Microservice!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In an effort to be sure the setup for all our Integrations is as White Label as possible, we engineered an entirely secure microservice architecture that works in the background to let us show the generic “My Portal App” integration during the authentication phase, but everything is connected to the platform via the integration microservice.<\/p>\n

So, whenever you see My Portal App, just know that it’s completely secure and can be trusted.<\/p>\n

It’s just another way that we go\u00a0ABOVE & BEYOND<\/strong>\u00a0to protect your brand!<\/p>\n

How do I integrate Google Meet\u00a0into my account?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Navigate to\u00a0Flyout Menu > Integrations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0Google Calendar\u00a0<\/strong>section, you will need to make sure that you are signed in and connected.<\/p>\n

Once it is connected the status will update. This lets you know that you are now ready to use Google Meet for your Appointments.<\/p>\n

How do I set up my Google Meet integration for meetings?<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to utilize the Google Meet integration, you’ll need to have at least one Appointment Type set up.<\/p>\n

Navigate to\u00a0Calendar > Appointment Types<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Click\u00a0\u00a0Options<\/strong>\u00a0(3 dots) beside the Appointment Type of your choice and select\u00a0Auto-Create Meeting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Under Choose Meeting Provider select\u00a0Google Meet<\/strong>\u00a0from the dropdown menu.<\/p>\n

After selecting Google Meet it will show you what email is connected to the Google Calendar Integration. If you would like to change any settings please click\u00a0Update Connected Calendar Settings<\/em>. If you are satisfied with your current settings click\u00a0Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When viewing the Appointment on\u00a0Google Calendar<\/strong>\u00a0the Staff member is able to click\u00a0Join with Google Meet<\/em>\u00a0to quickly access the meeting. This button will only appear on the Staff side.<\/p>\n
